I'm hopping along with the Confetti Crew today for the Quirky Cuties Hop! I am so in love with this darling line of stamps from Reverse Confetti...so stinkin' CUTE! They are the perfect images for those of us who love to color...not too small, not too big...just right.
You should have come here from Leigh Penner's blog; but if you didn't, you may want to start at the beginning of the hop: HERE. There are some SERIOUS prizes in it for you...just sayin'. Read to the end of my post for prize details.
My card showcases the newest in the Quirky Cuties line, called Rocky Raccoon. Isn't he awesome?! I am always on the lookout for stamps that work well for boys, and this one fits the bill perfectly.
My card base is 5" square, and a soft gray color. I added pops of white layered between colorful patterned papers from the Simple Stories I Heart Summer collection. I rounded the top corners, and gussied the card up with a few coordinating enamel dots and a bit of red/white striped twine. I also scored two lines along the top edge of the card using my Scor Buddy.
I stamped Rocky in Black Licorice Hybrid Ink on X-Press It Blending Card, and colored him with Copic markers. I added texture to his jeans with a scrap of denim and a couple of spritzes of Colorless Blender. I made his fur more realistic by adding streaks of color, rather than blending it all in. I stamped the sentiment in Black Licorice Hybrid ink as well. I LOVE that sentiment, and *might* know a few rascals I could send this to!
Wanna see what the whole set looks like? Check it out:
Soooo CUTE, right?!
Here's a look at the Copic markers I used. Rocky's fur was done entirely in Warm Grays. I even gave him a touch of "beard" to accentuate his manliness. ;)
Here's a look at the inside of my card:
I added a couple of strips of patterned paper, a layer of white card stock, stamped Rocky in pale gray ink, and stamped the sentiment in a rich red ink.
Now, on to those prizes...
From all of the comments left along the hop, TWO random winners will be chosen. Each one will win a Studio 3 Solutions Color Cubbie + 3 Quirky Cuties stamp sets (winner’s choice)! How awesome is that?!
In case you haven't seen the Studio 3 Solutions Color Cubbie's, here's a shot of mine:
Yup...Copics! What else, right? This is four of them side by side. This photo is three years old; but I still store them the same way...love that system. I do have separate sections for refills now, as my collection has grown a *wee* bit since then. You are so LUCKY to get a shot to win one of these! I promise you'll love it!
Next up, you'll want to hop on over to Kathy Martin's blog to check out her awesome creation!
Have a beautiful day, friends! Thanks, as always, for stopping by!
