I just discovered this post sitting in my "drafts" from last fall...oops! Since the Birds and Vines set I used for this card is now on the retiring list, I thought now might just be a good time to share my card with all of you. ;-)
The set is called Birds and Vines, and is another Marcella Hawley original. I layered the images on Spellbinders Classic Oval Nestabilities and Labels Twenty Five Nestabilities, which I cut out using my Spellbinders Grand Caliber Die-Cut Machine. The pretty patterned papers are from Basic Grey's Hello Luscious 6x6 pad, and the punched border at the bottom is from Martha Stewart. I did lots of sponging with my Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Pad & the Black Soot Distress Pad to add to the vintage look of the card. I made the black birds really stand out by cutting them out, popping them up, and adding a bit of Glossy Accents. Lots of black rhinestones and a strip of black braided trim finish it off. The card size is 5-1/4" square.
Did you see all of the awesome sets that Flourishes is retiring??? You NEED to check them out HERE before they're all gone!
Have yourselves a fantastic Monday, friends! Thanks so much for visiting with me today!
