It's time for another edition of Free For All Friday, where the Flourishes design team shares projects using stamps from the newest release. I chose to work with the awesome Fresh Baked set.
I made a 4-1/4" square card to accompany a gift sack full of yummy cookies. I am so excited about this stamp set, which will be PERFECT for all of the homemade gift-giving we do over the holidays.
I used kraft cardstock for my card base, and layered it with beautiful red cardstock from the Poppy Color Made Easy Collection.
The patterned paper is from Echo Park's Very Merry 6x6 pad. I stamped the image on Classic White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored it in with the following Copic Marker Collections:
I air-brushed the background on the image and the sentiment tag with my E33 Copic marker. The Candi's were colored with my R27 Copic marker, and given a coat of Glossy Accents. Here's a close-up shot of the card:
The Spellbinders dies I used are Classic Circles, Lacey Circles, and Fancy Framed Tags II. I added a fun pom pom trim border along the bottom and a vintage clip to the side of the tag. I stamped the sentiment with Memento Lady Bug ink.
Now, you may be wondering how I got the pattern on the apron. After I colored and shaded with the Copic Pistachio Collection, and BEFORE I added any other color whatsoever (VERY important detail!), I spritzed a scrap piece of twill with some Colorless Blender, and pressed it onto the image, lifting straight back up again. As you can see, this left the twill pattern on the colored apron. Coolness, huh? You can try adding texture to your images with lots of different fabrics...try terry cloth, denim, or even paper towel! Once you've added texture, you can then finish coloring the areas of your image where you don't want any texture.
