Now those are some seriously cool cowboy boots, don't you think? I chose the papers from October Afternoon's Sasparilla collection. Love the yellows and grays together...such a unique and striking combination. I did a bit of machine stitching on the layers with ivory button thread. The image was stamped with Memento Espresso Truffle and colored in with my Warm Gray Copic markers...lots of 'em. The metal accents on the boots were colored with Cool Grays and a touch of E15 for a bit of a rusty look. I mounted it on Oval STAX 1 & Oval STAX 2 Die-namics, which I cut off at the side to add some creative detail to the card. The stars were made with the Stacking Stars Die-namics, and that bit of barbed wire running down the side was made with the brand-new Barbed Wire Fence Die-namics. I used a buttery yellow cardstock for the base, and Steel Grey cardstock for the layers. The image was stamped on X-Press It Blending Card. The final detail is a couple of copper nail heads next to the sentiment.
Here's a look at the inside:
The sentiment is from the brand-new Western Sentiments set. I stamped it with Memento Espresso Truffle. I added a strip of pretty paper, and Barbed Wire Fence Die-namics and a Stacking Stars Die-namics to finish it off.
Here are the new products I used today:
Thanks so much for visiting with me today, friends! I am off to Dallas to teach Standard & Intermediate Copic Certifications this weekend...can't wait!
Have a terrific day!
