I made my card for MFT's Make My Day challenge, which is to make an encouraging card for the person of your choice. I chose to make a card for a dear friend who has proven to be the truest of true friends time and time again. She is such a blessing in my life, and I want her to know I'm SO grateful for her.
I decided to give this month's CAS challenge another go, since I blew it with the patterned paper yesterday. There's a LOT of white space on that card up there, and I'm not 100% sure how I feel about it. The first thing my daughter said was, "What are you going to put in that big blank area, Mom?" *groan*
I began with a Sweet Tooth card base, added a strip of Sno Cone, and a strip of Sweet Tooth. I stamped the greeting from Clearly Sentimental My Favorite Sentiments using Sno Cone, Lemon Drop, and Sour Apple inks. I added some scored lines to the background with my Scor Buddy, and several Die-namics, including Layered Heart Border, Accent It - Flags and Tags, Rustic Hearts, and Button Border.
The sentiment on the inside of the card was stamped with Sour Apple ink, and a Sno Cone Layered Heart Border was added along the top edge.
