Hey everyone~
It's time for the monthly Creative Challenge at My Favorite Things. This month the design team was challenged to create clean and simple projects. This is so not my usual style of stamping; but I really enjoyed it! I did goof though. We weren't supposed to use any patterned paper, but as you can see, I did add a wee bit...oops. Baby steps, right? lol
I began with a Sweet Tooth card base, and added a 5-1/4" x 4" layer of Sweet Tooth cardstock on top. I embossed the pattern on the background by running the Oval Chain Border Die-namics die through the die-cut machine with the soft embossing pad, rather than the cutting plate.
I stamped the sentiment with Jellybean Green ink, and added a few green rhinestones along the bottom. The image was stamped on X-Press It Blending Card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored in with Copic markers. I cut her out, and popped her up with Dimensionals. The final touch was to round the top right corner of the card.
As you can see, I continued the CAS style on the inside of my card, simply stamping the sentiment in Jellybean Green on a die-cut piece of patterned paper from Kaisercraft's Bubble Gum collection.
Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all participating designers who have a clean and simple project to share with you today.
Have a great day, friends! Thanks for stopping by!
