Today, I have some fun jewelry pieces to share with you! I made these with clear PolyShrink, stamps and dies from My Favorite Things, and Copic markers.
Here are all the pieces before shrinking:
I die-cut the clear PolyShrink with the Decorative Circle Tags STAX, Circle STAX Set 1, Oval STAX Set 1, and Designer Labels 2 STAX Die-namics. Then, before shrinking, I punched a 1/4" hole in each piece and sanded them in a cross-hatch pattern with a fine grit sanding block. I then stamped each piece with stamps from the Inspired By Flowers 3 and Inspired By Flowers 4 sets.
On this first piece, I air-brushed the background with on B04 Copic marker, stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black (on the sanded side), and colored the images on the unsanded side with the following Copic markers: R81/R83/R85/YG01/YG03/YG67.
For the last piece, I used a .3 Copic Black Multiliner to "doodle" a fun pattern on the larger circle. I then dropped Copic Various Ink onto it in pretty blues and greens, allowing the colors to blend together a bit. On the smaller circle, I dropped the Various Ink without doing any doodling.
Once all the pieces were sanded, inked, colored, and dry, I heat them with my embossing heat tool until the shrunk to about 45% of their original size and flattened out completely. Often times, while heating PolyShrink, one thinks the project is ruined, as it crinkles and folds up into crazy shapes. You just need to be patient, and heat it until it flattens all the way out again.
I then added the cords, beads, and key chain to finish off the pieces. The possibilities are endless with PolyShrink, and it comes in black, white, and translucent, in addition to the clear.
Thanks so much for visiting today, friends!
