For my card, I began with a Sweet Tooth card base, and added a few circle accents made with Up & Away patterned papers from My Mind's Eye. I die-cut the circles with the new Pierced Circles STAX Die-namics. The sentiment was stamped in Blu Raspberry ink and die-cut with the fabulous new Sentiment Strips 2 Die-namics.
I paper-pieced her dress, and colored the rest with Copic markers. For the skin, I kept it simple with E000 and E53. I shaded a bit on the dress with W1. The balloons were colored with YG01/RV02/BG53. I then used my Colorless Blender to push the color to the edges, simply by coloring in circles with it beginning in the center of each balloon. I then added very pale hints of the balloons in the back, through the balloons in the front. To do this, I used a shade lighter than the original balloon colors. In this case, I used YG00 on the green balloons, RV00 on the pink ballooons, and BG10 on the blue balloons. It's a fun technique, and really gives them a translucent feel.
A Berrylicious button, a bit of green/white twine, and a few enamel dots finish off the card details.
Inside, I added the left-over circle portion from the patterned paper on the front of the card, and a strip in the pattern used on her dress. I the stamped the sentiment in Blu Raspberry ink.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends!
