It's day one of the September Release Rewind at My Favorite Things! What a fabulous release it's been! Over the next two days, you'll be able to hop around to all the designers' blogs to see their fantastic creations with products from this month's release.
I have two cards to share with you today. The first was made with the darling Doodle Garden Happy Harvest set, which I can't get enough of. She is so darling, isn't she?!
I chose a soft color palette for my card. The card base is Kraft, and die-cut with the new Mini Album Fancy Ticket STAX Die-namics. I stamped the pattern from the Textile Backgrounds on the Kraft card stock with Whip Cream ink. The layers are Orange Fizz, Cotton Candy, and Primitive White. I added a strip of Cotton Candy grosgrain, Hemp Cord, and a Cotton Candy button for balance and texture.
The softly colored leaves were created with the Fall Foliage set, Fall Foliage Die-namics, Orange Fizz ink, and Cotton Candy ink. I inked the leaves in Orange Fizz, then lightly sponged the edges with Cotton Candy.
The sentiment was stamped in Cotton Candy ink on Primitive White card stock, and die-cut with the Fishtail Flags Layers STAX Die-namics. I added a second flag die-cut from Cotton Candy card stock, and stamped with polka dots from the Large Scale Backgrounds set in Whip Cream ink.
I stamped the girl on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored her in with Copic markers. I began by coloring her overalls with B91/B95/B97. I then added texture to the overalls with a scrap piece of denim and a fine-mist spritzer bottle full of Colorless Blender solution. Once that was dry, I was able to color the rest of the image. For the skin, I used E000/E51/E53, with a touch of R20 for the cheeks. Her hair is Y32/Y23. The pumpkins, square patch, and hair ties are YR02/YR04, with touches of YG63 on the pumpkins. Her shirt and heart patch are RV81/RV85. The basket and shoes are W1/W3/W5/W7/W9/T9/110/E31.
The rectangle behind the girl was created with the Pierced Rectangle STAX Die-namics, and air-brushed with my Copic Air Compressor, W5 Copic marker, and B95 Copic marker. I added a few "dirt" speckles to the ground with W5/W9/E35/E37.
Inside, I added a strip of Cotton Candy card stock, a strip of Orange Fizz card stock, and stamped the girl in Orange Fizz ink.
My second card was made with the fabulous new Autumn Wreath Die-namics.
This is one must-have Die-namics, my friends! It's so easy to create a stunning project with it.
The card base is Hot Fudge, which I stamped using the houndstooth pattern from Textile Backgrounds and Hot Fudge ink. The leaves are made from the following card stock colors: Olive, Orange Fizz, Tangy Orange, Lemon Drop, and Fuse Green. The bow is made from the Beautiful Bows Die-namics, and centered with an Olive button. I stamped the sentiment from Fall Foliage in Whip Cream ink, and dressed it up with three yellow enamel dots.
I added a strip of Orange Fizz grosgrain and rounded all four corners to finish off the details.
Inside, I added a layer of Primitive Cream card stock, a strip of Tangy Orange card stock, and a couple of autumn leaves die-cut with the Autumn Wreath Die-namics, Lemon Drop, and Orange Fizz card stock. I stamped the sentiment in Hot Fudge ink.
That's all, friends! Do stop by the MFT Blog for links to all the other designers' blogs!
Have a fabulous day!
