It's time for the monthly Design Team Creative Challenge from My Favorite Things. This month we were challenged to create projects that incorporate both the chill of winter and the warmth of the heart.
I made a matching gift sack and card set for the challenge.
I chose to work with the Pure Innocence Happy Heart Snowman set, as well as the Striped Background and Sophisticated Snowflakes sets.
Here's a look at the card by itself:
My card size is 5" square, with a Sno Cone card base. The layers are Smooth White and X-Press It Blending Card. I die-cut the smaller square with the Pierced Square STAX Die-namics. The sentiment was stamped in Electric Red, and die-cut with the Fishtail Flags Layers STAX Die-namics. I stamped the snowflakes behind the snowman in Sweet Tooth pigment ink. I rounded the top two corners, and added a few enamel dots to finish off the details.
I added some red Flower Soft to the heart for a fun, textured look. I colored his scarf, hat, nose, and cheek with Copic markers.
Inside, I added a layer of Smooth White cardstock, stamped the word "love" several times across the top in Electric Red ink, and stamped the snowman image in Sno Cone ink in the bottom corner.
Here's a look at the treat box:
I used the Scalloped Treat Box Die-namics and Sno Cone card stock to create the treat box, and added sweet die-cut hearts made from Wild Cherry & Sno Cone Felt, and die-cut with the Heart STAX Die-namics. I repeated the stripes from the card by using the Striped Background set and Sno Cone ink.
