Today's card was made using this week's Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things. Check out this week's sketch:
I just had to create another sample for this month's Design Team Creative Challenge, which was to use stencils in a creative way. I used the Graduated Stars Stencil to create the background. The textured effect was created with Ferro Silver Texture Paste from Viva. I colored a few of the stars with my Copic RV09 and B06 Copic markers...after the paste was dry of course. ;)
The card base is Razzle Berry, and the layers are Smooth White and Razzle Berry. The die-cuts are Stitched Circle STAX, Fishtail Flag STAX, and Stacking Stars. The sentiment is from the Bold Statements set and stamped in Black Licorice and Razzle Berry inks.
Here's a detail shot where you can really see the texture achieved with the embossing paste.
Inside, I added a layer of Smooth White, a strip of Razzle Berry, a couple of die-cut stars, and the sentiment from Rock On stamped in Razzle Berry.
Thanks for visting today, friends! Be sure to swing by the MFT Blog to check out the rest of the team's Creative Challenge projects, and also to play along with this week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge!
