Happy weekend! Today, I have a card made with the new Lightbulb Die-namics from My Favorite Things. I happen to think this is a pretty nifty die set, especially since my husband is an electrical contractor. This one's gonna come in handy! ;)
The card base is Grout Gray, as are most of the other layers. The lightbulb is Smooth White. I stamped a different background on each layer, using Grout Gray ink and the following background stamps: Grid Background, Pinstripe Background, Linen Background.
The stitched layer was die-cut with the Blueprints 15 Die-namics, and the frame was created with the Rectangle Frames Die-namics.
I created the light rays with the Sun Ray Stencil, Copic air-brush system, and a Y38 Copic marker. The sentiment from the Watt's Up? set was stamped in Nightshift Blue and Tangy Orange.
A few coordinating enamel dots finish off the details.
Check out the detail on this die-set...so realistic! The lightbulb base was originally Steel Blue, just like the filament. However, I wanted to tie the navy blue in the sentiment in a bit better; so I used a B39 Copic marker to change the color entirely. Copics ROCK, don't they?!
Inside, I stamped the sentiment in Nightshift Blue, and added a die-cut strip of Tangy Orange down the left side.
That's all, folks!
I hope you get a chance to really enjoy at least a moment or two of this gift of a day that lies ahead!
Thanks for swinging by!
