Are you ready for another sneak peek at this month's release from My Favorite Things? Today I'm giving you a peek at a few of my absolute favorites from this month's release...the Cupcake Stand Die-namics, Confetti Background, Sweet Birthday Wishes stamp set, and coordinating Sweet Birthday Wishes Die-namics.
I went with a bold color palette of Black Licorice, Smooth White, Sour Apple, and Grapesicle. Good night, I love these colors together!
The Cupcake Stand Die-namics is about the most fabulous thing EVAH, isn't it?! I had such fun creating cupcake stands with it...quick and easy too! I asked my hubby to pick up a couple of different cupcakes at our local cupcake shop; so I could include them in my photographs. Well, he showed up with twelve cupcakes...Lord have mercy! The one you see in the above photo is cookies and cream, and...yes, I ate it. o. m. geee....so good. I need an extra workout after that!
The sweet little "doily" on top of the stand was die-cut using the Dizzy Doily Duo Die-namics.
I really like the look of the stand with an extra layer of the ruffled top; so I simply die-cut two of them instead of just one. I created the wrapper for the cupcake with some Grapesicle cardstock, the new Confetti Background stamp, and Grapesicle ink.
My card has a Grapesicle base, and the layers are Black Licorice and X-Press It Blending Card. I air-brushed the background with Copic markers, and added scattered blades of grass by flicking the ink on with my super brush nib.
I stamped the sentiment in Sweet Tooth, die-cut it using the Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics, and dressed it up with a trio of enamel dots.
I stamped the image from Sweet Birthday Wishes in Black Licorice Hybrid Ink, die-cut her with the Sweet Birthday Wishes Die-namics, and colored her in with Copic markers. I added polka dots to the cupcake frosting with a White Sakura Glaze Pen.
Here are the Copic colors I used:
Here's a peek at the inside of my card:
I added a layer of Black Licorice, a layer of Smooth White, stamped the cupcake stand image in Grapesicle, and stamped the sentiment in Black Licorice Hybrid ink.
