Then you can play along too...just in time for the 10th anniversary celebration! It also happens to be my 10th anniversary with Splitcoast, since I joined in March of 2004. My goodness, a lot has changed in the crafty world since then!
My card was created for one of the day one challenges, which I cannot divulge to you; but if you are a SCS Fan Club member, you can check it out for yourself HERE.
I began with a Smooth White card base, and the layers are Blu Raspberry, Sno Cone, and X-Press It Blending Card. That gorgeous image is from My Favorite Things, and is called Inspired By the Front Porch - Spring. I think it works great for summer as well; so I inked it up in a fresh, summery color palette. The layout is this week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge. Check it out:
I stamped the flowers in Blu Raspberry ink on the Blu Raspberry background. I stamped the Diagonal Stripes Background in Blu Raspberry ink on the Smooth White strip down the right side of the card. The rounded layer was created with the Blueprints 10 Die-namics. I die-cut the Sno Cone layer with the largest of the Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX Die-namics. I stamped the sentiment in Wild Cherry, which I stamped off once, making it the perfect almost-coral color. A couple of white enamel dots and a bit of turquoise and white striped twine finish off the details.
I stamped the image in Black Licorice Hybrid ink, and colored it with Copic markers. I dressed up the chair cushions by adding polka dots with my White Sakura Glaze Pen. Love that pen SO much!
Here's a look at the Copic colors I used:
Here's a look at the inside of my card:
I kept the inside simple, but classy, with a left-over strip of striped paper, a die-cut Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX die-cut, and a sprig of flowers stamped in Wild Cherry ink.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends!
Have a blessed Sunday!
