I'm back with another sneak peek at the new release from My Favorite Things. Today, it's all about the eyes. I have two cards to share with you made using the new Eye Charts stamp set, Geek is Chic stamp set, Geek is Chic Glasses Die-namics, Jumbo Polka Dot Stencil, and Diagonal Stripes Background.
My first card has a fresh color palette of Smooth White, Steel Grey, Steel Blue, and Banana Split. The layers were created with the Blueprints 13 Die-namics and Blueprints 14 Die-namcs. The die-cut row along the bottom of the card was created with the Blueprints 18 Die-namics. The eye glasses were created with the Geek is Chic Glasses Die-namics. The polka dotted background was created with the Jumbo Polka Dot Stencil, Bareley Banana ink, and a sponge dauber. The sentiment was stamped in Sweet Tooth ink and embossed with white detail powder. I dressed the card up with a few clear rhinestones.
Inside, I added a strip of Barely Banana card stock, stamped the sentiment in Steel Grey, and stamped the glasses in Banana Split, Steel Grey, and Steel Blue.
My second card was made for my 17-year-old son, whom I happen to think is pretty awesome. I was having a bad day the other day, and BOTH him and his dad showed up after their separate work days with my favorite blueberry coffee AND fresh-cut flowers! Now THAT is what I call awesome! :)
The card base is Grout Gray, and the layers are Jellybean Green, Wild Cherry, and Smooth White. The layers were created with the Blueprints 14 Die-namics, Rectangle STAX 1 Die-namics, and Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics. The stars and flag are from Blueprints 18.
I stamped the new Cheesecloth Background in Grout Gray, stamped the Eye Charts in Jellybean Green, and stamped the main sentiment in Jellybean Green and Wild Cherry.
The layout is this week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge. Check it out:
It's a fun one!
The sunglasses were die-cut from Smooth White card stock, and air-brushed with Copic markers and my Copic Airbrush System. The lenses were created with clear acetate, which was air-brushed with a dark warm gray Copic marker. Love the look!
Inside, I added a layer of Smooth White, a die-cut flag, a pair of die-cut glasses, and the sentiment, stamped in Jellybean Green and Wild Cherry.
