Stampers Dream & Friends Blog Hop

Hello Stampers~

How are you on this fine Monday?  I am doing terrific!  It is my daughter's first "official" day of summer vacation; so we are going to have a girls day together.  My son has one more week of school, and then we'll be in full summer mode in our house.  I just love summer, don't you? :)

Today, the Stampers Dream Team and friends have gotten together for another fun blog hop.   I can't wait to see everyone's fabulous creations!

For my card, I chose one of JustRite's newest Christmas sets, Merry and Bright.  This one's a cling set that coordinates perfectly with Spellbinders 2010 Ornaments Dies.  The card layout is one I turn to time and time again...just love it!  The card size is 5-1/2" x 3-1/4".  I also happen to really love the clean and simple look of white-on-white.  The only other color paper I added is a strip of pretty plaid from Crate Paper's Toy Box Pad.  I colored the ornament in using Copic markers, and added some pretty sparkle with Sakura's Clear Stardust Gelly Roll Glitter Pen.

Here's a close-up view:

The picture really doesn't do the sparkle justice!  I added some pretty Gold Metallic String, Red Rhinestones, and a Martha Stewart punched border to finish things off.  The background was done with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Sweet Santa Mouse

Hello Stampers~

Here we are on the very last day of November...just one month left of 2010.  What are your plans for this last month of the year?  Let me take a wild guess...shopping, decorating, wrapping, baking, eating, visiting, partying, eating, working, sleeping, and oh yeah, eating.  Was I close?  haha  Seriously, though, this time of year goes sooo quickly, doesn't it?  I hope you will spend some time reflecting on the things that are truly important in this life, and take time out of your busy schedule to just "be".  I am determined to do that this year. :)

Today's sample is a fun card showcasing an adorable Christmas mouse.  I found this idea on Kim Score's amazing blog.  You can find complete instructions for making the mouse out of punches right HERE.  I had SUCH fun making this! :)

Our Craft Lounge Blog CANDY!

Hey everyone~

I am having a blast with my roomies in SLC.  We went to the Splitcoast Stampers dinner last night, and sat with such a fun group of ladies!  We laughed so hard it hurt...good times! :)

Today is a big day in the world of blog candy!!!  Our Craft Lounge is hostessing a whopping blog hop showcasing their awesome holiday release stamps.  Wait until you see how CUTE these sets are!

So, first let me tell you about that card up there.  I made it with the Autumn Garden set, which I think is my absolute favorite of the new OCL sets.  It's hard to pick one favorite, cuz these sets are sooo stinkin' cute!  The corduroy buttons were dyed with a Copic marker.  They used to be Baja Breeze, and are now a perfect match for Not Quite Navy.  Isn't that cool?  Stuff like that makes Cindy a happy girl. :)

Oh my goodness, what FUN I had reading all about your hometowns!  I found out that my wonderful readers come from every single US state, including Alaska & Hawaii...as well as Canada, Mexico, Canada, the Netherlands, the UK, Australia, Israel, Japan and more!  What a TREAT to get to hear from all of YOU for a change!  I seriously think I need to take a year and come and visit all of you!  How much fun would that be?!  Hmmm....do you think I could start a fund-raiser for "Cindy's Stamping Around the World Expedition"???  Hee Hee...a girl can dream, right! :)

Born in Erie, Pennsylvania, but lived in Girard. Not lovin' it there so much. Moved to Wickliffe, Ohio, when I was 12 and really loved it there - it was "home" and where my friends were but most of all, the park system is fantastic. The Emerald Necklace Metro Parks - the best ever. We used to picnic, ski, hike, run and best of all - spot deer. (Miss the deer!) Lived there until nearly 50 and since then lived numerous places ... the worst was RosHELL, New Mexico. Only stayed there for nine months and then time to get outta Dodge and away from those aliens. Back to the Dallas Metroplex for the second time and this is a great place to live - tons of shopping, no bad winters, a great zoo, close to anything and everything and now my daughter lives here, too! What more could I ask for? I know what ... a scrapbook store!
