Bridge Over Peaceful Waters

Hello Stampers~

Today's card is made with Impression Obsession's gorgeous Covered Bridge Scene.  Isn't it just breath-taking?!  This stamp is particularly near and dear to my heart, as I live in an area of the country where covered bridges are a-plenty.  In fact, I drive over this one every single day...

I am so blessed to live in such a beautiful part of the country. :)

I chose some warm, autumn tones for my card, and kept the fru fru to a minimum, since the image speaks for itself.  I colored the image in with Copic markers...LOTS of them:

I picked up this gorgeous stamp at the Stampers Dream Store.  Michelle as a wonderful selection of Impression Obsession  stamps (among many, many other goodies!).

A Summer Arbor

Hello Stampers~ 

Today's sample is made with a gorgeous stamp from Impression Obsession.  It's called Arbor, and I picked it up at Stampers Dream.  Doesn't that scene look like a little piece of heaven on earth?  I also found the perfect sentiment in Rachelle Ann Miller's Sentiments set.

The fancy bottom edge of the card is made with the Layered Arches border punch from Martha Stewart and some pretty green pearls.  I added lots of piercing and some pretty green velvet ribbon to finish it off.

I decided to pull out my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol for the coloring on this one.  I do so love my Copics; but I have also grown quite fond of the Prismacolor pencils.  They blend sooo beautifully, don't you think?  Truth be told, anything involving coloring is sure to be something I'll love. :)

Impression Obsession Week: Home Sweet Nest

Hello Stampers~

Today I have another sample for Impression Obsession week at Stampers Dream.  This time I'm using the gorgeous Home Sweet Nest stamp set.  If you remember, the last time I used this set (HERE) I went for a vibrant color palette.  This time I chose more muted, nature-inspired tones.  The nest and birds are stamped on Prismatics Kraft cardstock and colored in with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  I added the teeniest bit of sparkle to the eggs with a clear Spica Gel Pen.  That gorgeous patterned paper is from the Life Stories collection from My Mind's Eye.  I sponged the stitching with Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink, and added some pearls and pretty crocheted trim to finish things off.

From Sea to Shining Sea...

Hello Stampers~

It's Impression Obsession week over at Stampers Dream, and the design team will be sharing samples with you all week.  Today I'm using the gorgeous Rowboat image.  I went with an Americana look for my card, using vintage trims, buttons, and sponging.

I colored the image in with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol, and topped it off with the "cracked glass" technique.  I just love how it looks with this image!  To get the cracked glass effect, you'll need some Amazing Glaze thick embossing enamel, a VersaMark pad, a heat tool, and your freezer.  Begin by coating the already colored image with VersaMark ink, and pouring on a layer of embossing enamel.  Heat with your heat tool, and let cool.  Repeat two more times, and pop it in the freezer for a couple of minutes.  Remove your image from the freezer and bend it back and forth to crack the enamel.  You can do this as much or as little as you desire.  As you can see, I went a little crazy with mine! :)  I also sponged on some Antique Linen distress ink to give it a more aged effect.
