Hello Stampers~
How was your weekend? Did you spend your Valentine's Day with someone you love? I had a lovely weekend with my sweet family. On Friday afternoon, my hubby surprised me at work with a singing quartet, flowers and candy. Isn't that the sweetest, most romantic gift?! Sigh...I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful husband. :)
Today I thought I'd share the Valentine I made for that wonderful man. As much as I love all things elegant and feminine, I thought I'd better go with a more masculine/grunge look for hubby's card. As you can see, I did lots of distressing and sewing on the layers. I used my new Vintage Valentine set from Lizzie Anne Designs, and some rich papers from Basic Grey's Ambrosia & Origins collections. I dyed the pearls and staples black with a Sharpie marker.
Here's the card recipe:
Stamps: Vintage Valentine (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Papers: Kraft (Prism), Basic Black, Ambrosia DP (Basic Grey), Origins DP (Basic Grey)
Inks: Tim Holtz Black Soot Distress Ink, Brick Red (Vivid)
Accessories: Distressing Tool, Sewing Machine, Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Pendant Die, Kaiser Pearls, Staples, Black Sharpie, Black Crocheted Lace Ribbon, Dimensionals
Have a fantastic Monday, friends!
Thanks, as always, for stopping by to visit with me! :)
Hugs~
Cindy
