Today's card is the one I made my daughter for her 8th grade graduation, which was this past Thursday evening. Sooo hard to believe our little girl (youngest of 4 & only girl) is heading into high school this August. Goodness, time flies, doesn't it?!
My card was made using products from My Favorite Things. It has a Smooth White base, and layers are Lemon Drop and Nightshift Blue. The sentiment from Happy Graduation was stamped in Nightshift Blue and Lemon Drop inks.
The "congratulations" die-cut & the cap were created with the Graduation Accents Die-namics. The shooting stars were created with the Sun, Moon, & Stars Die-namics. The circle layers were created with the Circle STAX 1 Die-namics, Circle STAX 2 Die-namics, and Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics.
I scored the top of the card with my Scor Buddy and scattered an assortment of enamel dots around the card for interest.
I gave some pretty sparkle to several of the key elements with MIX-ables Sheer Shimmer Mist. The fun "#way2go" element is from the Happy Graduation set as well.
Inside, I added a strip of Nightshift Blue card stock across the top, and stamped the sentiment in Nightshift Blue and Lemon Drop.
Before I go, here's a sweet shot of my girl on graduation night:
We are so very proud of our beautiful, kind, well-rounded, smart, and FUN girl!
Have a wonderful day, friends!
