Delightful Dahlia

Hello Stampers~

Delightful is RIGHT, huh?!  The gorgeous images on my card today are from Papertrey's Delightful Dahlia stamp set.  Oh my word, I am in love!  I won this set at the last Stamp New England event I attended in April...lucky me, huh?!

I used a Cuttlebug folder and lots of white cardstock to give my card an elegant feel.  The pretty pink pearls and satin ribbon finish it off with a little extra pizzazz. 

My image was colored with Copic markers, and I added a sparkly center with a Spica Clear Glitter Pen.

I just loved coloring in that beautiful flower...took me to my happy place for sure! :)

Happy Monday, Stampers!

How was your weekend?  Mine was both fun and productive.  Friday night was Ben's alumni game, which was tons of fun.  The alumni won by a looooong shot, and I even got out there at half time to compete against some other moms in a "shoot-out for food".  Good thing for me...all the other moms stunk as much as I did.  You would never know today that I used to be quite a good athlete when I was in school. 

Two of our children had overnight guests from Friday afternoon until Saturday evening; so we had lots of activity going on...sledding, swimming and bowling, all in one day.  Then, on Sunday, I got lots of much-needed stamping time in...yahoo!  In addition to today's card, I made a bunch of cards for upcoming releases...just can't show 'em to you quite yet. ;)

Today's card was made with the Wishing You stamp set from Papertrey, Inc.  I've had this set for a long time; but this is the first time I've gotten it inky.  One of my goals this year is to use all of the stamps I have in my collection.  Use 'em or lose 'em, I say! :)  Actually, that reminds me...I'm going to have a BIG stamp sale very soon.  I have enough stamp sets and supplies to open a store right now, and it's time to share the wealth!  So, stay tuned for all the deets.

Apples for Teacher

Happy August, everyone!

Boy oh boy, July flew right on by, didn't it?!  Summer will be gone before we know it...booo!  With the end of summer comes the beginning of SCHOOL.  So, I thought I'd make a sample to get us back in the swing. :)

Actually, I originally made this for Laura's Dare to Get Dirty Challenge over on SCS.  The challenge was to use your ABC's to spell something.  Well, I couldn't resist making a teacher card.  I had this awesome PTI image on my desk just screaming for me to color it in.

This morning I'm headed out for an early breakfast with the hubby, then on to my RUBBAH Yard Sale from 8 - 11, and finally, it's off to a family wedding.  It should be a fun day!

Oh, before I forget, my knees are doing sooo much better!  Of course, I am on pain killers and anti-inflammatory meds; but it's all good. :)  The doc called yesterday with my test results.  In addition to a small meniscus tear, I have bone spurs in both knees, which actually explains a lot.  Nothing major yet, and as long as I take it slowwww, I should be okay without any need for surgery.  Hallelujah!
