Ho Ho Ho and a bottle of rum! Okay, where did that saying come from...anyone know? Or was it just my mother who used to say that to me all the time? Or maybe it was Yo Ho Ho and a bottle of rum...Yes, that was it! Pirates! The brain cells aren't completely gone yet, girls!
Today's sample is made with Poppy Bittybloom from Stamping Bella. I just adore those sweet little flower fairies. I do have to laugh at myself, though. Now that I see this card on my computer screen, I realize that I forgot to dry emboss the lines in the Nestabilities templates...duh! ..and that's not all. I forgot to take a picture of the inside of the card again. It's just a strip of designer paper across the bottom and a saying about friendship...that's all. Oh well, next time I'll remember...maybe. ;)
Here's the card recipe:
Stamps: Poppy Bittybloom, Friendship Blooms from Gina K Designs (words)
Inks: Black Staz-On, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Summer Sun, Blush Blossom, Close to Cocoa
Papers: Pure Luxury 120lb Cardstock from Gina K (LOVE this stuff!!!!), Riding Hood Red, Bella Rose Designer Series Papers, Watercolor Paper
Accessories: Dew Drops, H2O Brush, Labels Two Nestabilities, Riding Hood Red Taffeta, Large Oval Punch, Martha Stewart Border Punch, Dimensionals
Do you remember this picture of a shelf in my studio? This one sits on my desk right in front of me. Well, I did a little re-organizing today (when I should have been stamping!) because I have a bunch of new goodies that needed a good home. I LOVE to organize things...it's a bit of an addiction of mine. Have you ever seen that show Mission Organization on HGTV? Well, I would totally LOVE her job!!!
So this is what the shelf used to look like.
...and this is what it looks like now:
What do you think? I have my SU punches stored in two drawers (which you can see in my Studio photo album on the left), and I had no place to store my ever-increasing selection of Martha Stewart punches. So, now they sit along the top of this shelf where I can see what I have easily. I'm sure it won't be long before I have too many to fit up there, and will have to re-organize them again....but today they are happy right where they are. :)
On the next shelf down I had baskets of individual stamps, which I have moved to another shelf nearby. I replaced them with my umpteen bottles of Dew Drops, some stamp sets in tins (behind the Stickles) and my Stickles and Liquid Pearls. I would often forget I had Dew Drops and Stickles because I couldn't see 'em. Now they're right in front of me, where I can't miss 'em. See? I even used a bunch of Dew Drops on today's card...it's working already! ;)
The next shelf down is pretty much the same...my neutral pads that I use all the time. They don't fit on the racks with the colored pads; so this is a good solution for me. The only differences are the little containers of Bella Dots and more Dew Drops along the sides...plus my initials in those cool metal letters.
The bottom shelf now holds one of my two sets of SU markers, my handy dandy bone folder, and some more Gina K and Whipper Snapper sets.
My biggest problem right now (which is seriously a great problem to have!) is my ever-increasing collection of unmounted stamps! I have plastic drawers on the shelf above my desk, which I have been slowly converting over to unmounted stamps sorted by company. I'm quickly reaching a point where I'm gonna need to come up with a different solution (as you can see by all the Gina K sets in this shelf!). Anyone have great ideas???
Thanks a bunch for stopping by today! Although, I don't always get a chance to respond to your wonderful comments, please know that I treasure each one of them, and am so grateful that you take the time to leave them for li'l ol' me. :)
Have a super-fabuLICIOUS day!
Hugs~
