Here I am posting on a rare Saturday. I really should be in bed (nearly 2am); but I just had to get this posted. I leave for work in 4 hours...oh boy oh boy! :)
I was one of the lucky winners of last month's Mojo Monday sketch challenge. So I thought I'd make a card for this month's sketch challenge using the set I won. I chose the gorgeous One Person stamp set, which is my very first Verve stamp set. Can you believe that?! I know...I can't either! After perusing their site for a bit...I think I'm in trouble! LOL
I used non-traditional colors on my card, choosing rather to go with a more shabby chic look. Those gorgeous patterned papers are from the Stella & Rose Hazel pack from My Mind's Eye. I did lots of distressing and sponging to add to the vintage appeal. The crocheted trims, stitched twine, satin ribbon, and bling finish things off nicely.
Here's a close-up shot for you:
Isn't that sentiment fabulous?! I'll bet you're thinking I watercolored that flower, huh? Believe it or not, I used Copic markers. I embossed the image in ivory on ivory cardstock, then colored it in carefully using Copic markers. I am so happy with how it turned out!
Here are the markers I used:
Don't those colors just make you smile? :)
That's all from me today, folks! I'll see you back here bright and early Monday morning. Enjoy the weekend!
Hugs,
~Cindy
