Isn't this image of morning glories beautiful? I don't think you could stamp an ugly card with it if you tried...not that anyone in their right mind would TRY to make an ugly card. Interesting idea though....maybe if you're having one of those "uninspired" stamping days (we all have 'em, don't we?), you could try to make an ugly card...and it would backfire and be the most beautiful card you've ever created...
Oh my...earth to Cindy....where'd ya go, hon....okay, welcome back...
Soooooo on to the card at left... I used my Lavender Lace cardstock for the first time in I don't know how long. I am not a big purple fan as a rule; but every once in a while I put down the Soft Sky and venture out into the big bad world of COLOR {{shudder}}...
I colored some more White Taffeta ribbon with my lavender lace ink pad and a sponge dauber, and I embossed the morning glories and colored them in with my ink pads and an Aqua Painter...and yes, it's watercolor paper. I have about 8 unopened packages of watercolor paper right now, because if I ever ran out, I think I might die...really.
Oh, gosh...I kinda forgot the most obvious thing about this card...It's called a Surprise Pop-Up Card...are you surprised??? You can find a great tutorial for making one of your own here.
This next sample is for those of you who don't particularly like to watercolor (gasp), or just need a quick card. I embossed the morning glories using my Certainly Celery craft pad and some Iridescent Ice embossing powder. It's really hard to tell in the photo; but it's really very sparkly in person. I added a simple tag, made with a small oval punch and the word window punch behind. I added a couple of tabs with the word window punch and some rhinestones for a little bling. Oh yes, that's a Swiss Dots CuttleBug background there too. This went together very, very quickly!
Hope today is just the BEST day for you! Smile and say hello to a stranger today...you might just make their day! :)
Love,
~C
You are way too funny this early in the morning!
Love both cards, glad you gave an option for those of us that aren't WC experts! And yes, I could very likely make an ugly card without trying!

Love ya,

Gorgeous, as always! I love the way you did the tag on the celery one - too clever (and effective!) It was kind of you to show options for those who may be watercolor-challenged...
