Hope you all had a terrific weekend! We had beautiful, sunny weather here in NH...always a plus! :)
Today's sample was inspired by my dear friend, Bev. Check out her sample here. I love the quilted look of this card, don't you? I made this one for a class I did this weekend with a group of customers who have some avid quilters among them. I think they really loved it! Now, I know that SU doesn't sell the Cuttlebug Embossing Folders. No, I don't usually use non-SU items in my SU classes. BUT it just screamed for it...and I just had to oblige. :)
Here's the supply list:
Stamps: Cute & Curly Labels
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Baja Breeze
Papers: Whisper White, Real Red, Ski Slope Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Big Shot Die Cutting Machine, Top Note Die, Curly Label Punch, Sponge, Felt Flurries Small Snowflake, Clear Rhinestone Brad (from Pretties Kit), Textile CB Embossing Folder, 1-1/4" Square Punch, Dimensionals
To get the quilted look, start with a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of white cardstock. Punch out assorted squares of designer paper using a 1-1/4" square punch. Then completely cover the white cardstock with adhesive and attach all of the squares. They will fit exactly on this size paper. Next, run it through the Big Shot with the Top Note Die. Then sponge the edges with Chocolate Chip ink, and attach it to the Real Red cardstock. Finally, run it through the Big Shot again, with the CB Embossing Folder. It's remarkably easy! It honestly looks a whole lot more difficult than it really is. Have fun!
Enjoy your Monday everyone!
See y'all tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by for a visit today!
Hugs~

Oh Cindy, your going to laugh, I just got two of the dies in from SU and never having worked with this system before, boy was I in for a surprise when I saw the size of them and then sat down and tried to figure out how I'd run it through my Cuttlebug. LOL! I finally figured it out. I was expecting the images to be 6 inches and was a little disappointed with, but I will say I do love how easy and beautifully the dies cut and now I can make that gorgeous box of yours and this gorgeous card! I love the quilt, it's just fabulous and reminds me of an old fashioned Christmas! {{{hugs}}}
