Whooo Wants to hear some exciting news?

Happy weekend, my friends!

Isn't that owl just the CAH-UTEST?!  I must confess that it wasn't my original idea; but I did add some "extras" to him.  Check out the original here.  As you can see, I changed the eyes a bit, added a bow tie and buttons, used textured cardstock, slightly different colors, and more sponging...oh, and mine is a card, not a candy pouch.  Otherwise it's exactly the same.  {grin}

I wanted the inside to have a finished look as well.  So, here's what that looks like:

I couldn't resist pulling out my Owl Together Now stamp set for the very "owl-like" words.

I used Nestabilities to cut my larger scallop circles because I don't have the Scallop Big Shot dies.  They worked like a charm!

Those little feet are cut from a scallop circle punched out of Tangerine Tango card stock.

Okay, here's the back view:

Pretty neat-o, huh?!  Can't you just picture this awesome owl with a graduation cap on???  What an awesome graduation card that would be! ...AND, I just happen to have a son who's a senior in high school this year... Oh boy, I love it when I have a light bulb moment! :)

Okay, so the title of this post alludes to some exciting news, doesn't it?!  Well, I have had a few secrets for a while now, and I can finally tell one of the BIG ones!  Flourishes has asked me to be a part of their Sr Design team!!!!!  So, I will be moving from the Friends of Flourishes Blog Team to the Sr Design Team, and I couldn't be more excited about it!  My friend, Laura Fredrickson, is making the move with me, leaving a couple of spots open on the blog team.  So...who do you think has joined the blog team???  Well, it is none other than my fabulous friends, Betty Wright and Christine Okken!!  Those girls are gonna knock your SOCKS OFF!  They are both so incredibly talented, and I couldn't be happier for them!  To read all about these exciting changes, and to find out who the new Guest Designer is, swing on over to the Flourishes Blog.
