It's Flourishes release week, and I couldn't be more excited about this month's sets...GORGEOUS!!! Today's set is my FAVE! It's called Apple of My Eye, and was illustrated by the incredibly talented Marcella Hawley. Boy oh boy, do I love coloring in those apples!
For my sample I actually used six different shades of red and yellow to color the apples, and five shades of green and brown for the leaves. I know it sounds like a lot; but it's those subtle shades and shadows that really make an image come alive. :)
Here's a close-up for you:
The pretty polka dotted paper is from Basic Grey's Oliver Patterned Paper Pack. Here are the Copic colors I used:

Hi Cindy~
Please be aware that I was leaving you a message, I mean comment...when *poof* off the internet went again. If this is my second comment...please add my name to the first and delete one. I just didn't want to enter two comments.
I want to tell you that this card is DELICIOUS! Your coloring is just amazingly wonderful! You have that reflection done perfectly.
I grew up in CT. There was an apple orchard behind us, and diagonally across the street. We could take an apple off the tree any time. There would be apples rolling down the hills for several blocks. I could almost smell that sweet, thick smell from your beautiful card. I can really see the effort you put into this! Amazing!
I also really like the way you put that warm apple-cidery glow in front of the image. I LOVE the delicate apple blossoms. They are so beautiful on the trees and just as beautiful here, on your card.
Don't you feel so blessed making cards with this much talent? It is obvious that He has given you a great measurement of talent, and a heart full of generosity. You are blessed! And, a blessing!
Thank you for the chance to win this incredible stamp set. I really love it. There are so many possibilities to do with it. Include your apple pie recipe inside...is the first one that comes to mind. (Whether I win or not, if you want one...I have an the best recipe given to me from my late MIL, Charlotte.)
I hope that coloring directions come with the stamp for the winner! Don't worry, just kidding! Unless you thought I was serious! lol
