Stippled Nature

This week the Gina K design team is showcasing their newest stamp sets with a fun inspiration blog hop.  As a part of Beth Silaika's Fab Four Team (You can read all about that HERE.), I have a card made with Beth's fabulous new Stippled Nature set.

The card base is GKD Pure Luxury Heavy Weight White card stock.  The orange card stock layer was embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, and the pretty border along the bottom was made with a Martha Stewart border punch.  The pretty patterned paper is from The Sweetest Thing Tangerine 6x6 paper pack from My Mind's Eye.

I stamped the large flower and single leaf stamps from Stippled Nature using Memento Bamboo Leaves and Morocco ink pads.  I cut them out, and added a bit of shading with Copic markers.  I air-brushed the background of the Spellbinders Petite Oval die-cut with my BG53 Copic marker and Copic Air Brush System.  I centered the flower with a fabric brad, and added three rhinestones to the edge of the oval, which I colored with my YR07 Copic marker.  The sentiment was stamped in Memento Teal Zeal.  The final detail is a bit of orange and white baker's twine, which I wrapped around the middle of my card.  

Gina K also has a fantastic Silhouette Cut File for this set!  While I did just get a Silhouette Cameo (squeeeee!!!), I haven't had a chance to really play with it; so I didn't use it on my card.  It sure would have made cutting out that flower and all those leaves a whole lot easier, though!

Absolutely gorgeous!! The stamps are really nice -- I like the stippled effect. Your use of the embossing folder and the punched edge really set everything off nicely.
