MFT Creative Challenge: Make It Masculine

Hey everyone~

It's time for the monthly design team Creative Challenge over at My Favorite Things. This month we were challenged to "Make it Masculine".

I used the beautifully detailed Inspired By Travel set for my card. The card base is Factory Green. The frame was made with Hot Fudge card stock, and the awesome new Chalkboard Frame Builder Die-namics. I matted the frame with Primitive Cream card stock, which I die-cut using the Rectangles 1 STAX & Rectangles 2 STAX Die-namics. A strip of Tangy Orange Grosgrain and a Hot Fudge button add color and balance.

I stamped the old-fashioned car in Memento Espresso Truffle ink on X-Press It Blending Card, cut it out by hand, and colored it with Copic markers. The three shiny squares were made with Tangy Orange card stock, the Accent It - Labels and Tabs Die-namics, and a bit of Glossy Accents to give them a nice shine. The sentiment was stamped in Hot Fudge.

Inside, I added a Tangy Orange Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namic die-cut, a Steel Blue button die-cut from the Button Border Die-namics, a sentiment stamped in Hot Fudge, and the car stamped in Factory Green.

For my second card, I used the Inspired By the Wild Wild West stamp set to create a simple, masculine card. The card base is Primitive Cream, and the layers are Kraft card stock, and patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket's Honky Tonk collection. The layers were die-cut with the Rectangles 1 STAX Die-namics and Rectangles 2 STAX Die-namics. I stamped the sentiment in Electric Red, the image in Kraft, and wrapped it all up with twine tied up with an Electric Red button.

Inside, I stamped the horseshoe image in Electric Red and Kraft all over the background. I added layers of Kraft, Primitive Cream, and a strip of star patterned paper. I stamped the sentiment in Electric Red.
