Moxie Fab Thanks Blog Hop

Hello, crafty friends!

Today, a HUGE group of crafty bloggers have gotten together in honor of the oh-so-fabulous, moxie-fabulous, that is, Cath Edvalson, who is stepping down from her position at Paper Crafts to pursue other interests.  Cath has made such a tremendous impact on the crafty world, and she will be sorely missed.  

I had the privilege of sharing a plane ride home from CHA with Cath about a year ago, and we hit it off beautifully.  She is a sweet and sincere lady, and I'm so blessed to know her.

It's not a great photo, but it brings back warm & fuzzy memories of this dear lady.  Isn't she the cutest?

On to my card for Cath...



I used the super-sweet Doodle Garden Happy Harvest set from My Favorite Things.  She's such a cutie-patootie, just like Cath. 

The card base is Kraft, and is sized at 5-1/2" x 3-1/2".  The layers are Smooth White, and patterned paper from My Mind's Eye's The Sweetest Thing Tangerine paper pack.  I wrapped the papers in bright green and white twine, and added a Berrylicious button to finish off the bow.  The sentiment was die-cut with the Sentiment Strips 2 Die-namics, and stamped with Jellybean Green ink.



I stamped the image on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored her with Copic markers...lots and lots of Copic markers. :)  I added texture to her overalls with Colorless Blender and a piece of old denim.  I then cut her out, and mounted her on foam tape.



Inside, I added a layer of Smooth White, a strip of patterned paper, stamped the sentiment in Tangy Orange, and stamped the image in Kraft.
