Today, each member or the Copic education and blog team will be joining up for a virtual tour of their crafty spaces in celebration of a new Copic program.
Copic in the Craft Room is a new community brought to you by Imagination International Inc., distributor of Copic products in the United States and Canada.
Our program goals are:
- To Inspire Copic crafters, both new and experienced, to use their Copic products and get crafty.
- To Educate crafters, no matter their skill level, teaching proper product use for success and new ways to use Copic products.
- To Grow both as a community and as individual crafters.
Since getting crafty can take place anywhere, we thought it would be fun to share our own crafty spaces with you.
Here's a peek at my studio:
I confess that this is an older photo of my studio, as I just could not get the darned thing cleaned up enough for a photo this week. I started cleaning out the CLOSET early in the week, and, well, the closet contents are still gracing many of the available surfaces in my studio. I am awaiting a couple of storage containers to arrive before I can finish putting it all away. Why, oh why, do I start these projects before I'm sure I can finish them right away???
Anyway, it really doesn't look all that different today (aside from the mess). The biggest differences are the Cricut and Cuttlebug machines, which have been replaced with my Silhouette and Vagabond machines (love them both!), and, more importantly, my stash of Copics and refills that now grace my desk area. All of that beautiful cardstock is stored in literature organizers from an office supply store, and that pretty spinning card rack is a retired model from Pottery Barn. Here's a peek at my Copics, which are stored in four Color Cubbies from Studio 3 Solutions:
Yes, I have every. single. color...including the flourescents. I {heart} my Copics!
Here's a look at how I store my buttons, paper flowers, and some of my ribbons. No, it's really not all pink and white! It's a "stylized" photo from one of my photography color experiments, and the only photo I have of this area of my studio. Since the time of this photo, my button stash has increased by a wide margin; so it's about time for another trip to IKEA for more of those darling little jars. (I'll take any excuse to buy cute storage containers!)
Here's a look at the center island in my studio. I saw something very similar in a Pottery Barn catalog for a whopping $1200.00. I made mine with a couple of $50 cubbies from Target, and a hollow core door from Home Depot. I did add a third set of cubbies underneath the center of the table for additional storage. It cost me a big ol' $100. Score! I work on that island every single day, and love it so much!
So, I promise to take some updated photos of my studio, and post them on my blog soon! ...just as soon as I can find all of the surfaces again, that is! lol
Now you'll want to click the links below to hit the cyber roads, and travel all across the continent to see where the rest of the team makes the magic happen.
Cindy Lawrence <---You are here!

I love that paper storage. It looks so pretty along the wall. I have one of those bins...would love to have a few more. Maybe when we finish out this closet next to my desk with shelving and counter space. :) Beautiful, functional space, Cindy. Hope I get to visit someday! Happy Weekend!

Thanks for sharing pics of your space - I think pics of the messy space would have been good too (make us all feel like we aren't the only ones who make messes!!) I have a bajillion of those IKEA jars left over from my wedding favors - never thought to put them to use in my craft space. I will be digging those out this weekend - thanks for the idea!!!

Love your room and your storage. I made a cutting table for my sewing room that's very similar to your center island. It's perfect. Your room is bright and so well organized. Enjoy!

Love your craft room and how organized it is. I'm afraid I would be embarrassed for anyone to see my work area as it's not a pretty sight. LOL. I love your area rug and that pretty fabric you've covered your chair with. Thank you for sharing with us!

Cindy, I see you have two chairs there.. one for you and one for me! I HAVE TO come visit and play! Seriously, I love your paper storage system... do you have any issues with the paper fading since it's not covered? So glad I got a glimpse into your space... thanks for hopping with us. MWAH
