Hey everyone~
Are you ready for day four of the January sneak peeks from My Favorite Things? I hope you're enjoying all the "love" being shared this month! ;)
I have two cards to share with you today:
My first card is 4-1/4" square with a Pink Lemonade card base. The layers are Sweet Tooth and X-Press It Blending Card. I stamped that fabulous sentiment image from the new Sunny Day Doodles Be Mine set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored it with my R30 Copic marker. I added a few black rhinestones, and a sweet tiny Black Licorice heart to dress it up a bit. The heart was made with the Blueprints 11 Die-namics. A trio of x's & o's finish off the focal point.
I stamped the Patterned Triangles Background in Pink Lemonade, and die-cut the heart from the middle using the new TRANSFORM-ables Heart Full of Love Die-namics. The sentiment from Celebrate Big was stamped in Black Licorice ink, and die-cut with the Blueprints 9 Die-namics.
Inside, I added a layer of Sweet Tooth card stock, a strip of Black Licorice card stock, and stamped the sentiment in Pink Lemonade ink.
My second card uses the very same color palette as the first. Why, you ask? Well, it's the first of a brand-new challenge from MFT, the weekly Color Palette Challenge! This week's colors are Pink Lemonade, Black Licorice, and Sweet Tooth...perfect for Valentine cards!
My card base is Pink Lemonade, and the layers are Black Licorice, and Sweet Tooth. I die-cut the Hugs & Kisses Cover Up Die-namics, and added a few Pink Lemonade x's and o's to keep it fresh and interesting.
Along the bottom, I wrapped a bit of Pink Lemonade Grosgrain, black and white twine, and a Pink Lemonade button around the bottom to balance the design.
I used that die-cut heart from the TRANSFORM-ables Heart Full of Love Die-namics, which was stamped in Pink Lemonade, using the Patterned Triangles Background stamp. The three tiny hearts were made with the Blueprints 11 Die-namics. The sentiment from Celebrate Big was stamped on Black Licorice card stock with Sweet Tooth ink, embossed with white embossing powder, and die-cut with the new Dimensional Banners Die-namics.
Inside, I added a layer of Sweet Tooth, a strip of Black Licorice, stamped the x's & o's from Distressed Hearts in Black Licorice along the bottom, and stamped the hearts (also from Distressed Hearts) in Pink Lemonade at the top.
Remember to hop on over to the MFT Blog for your chance to win some yummy MFT goodies!
Thanks for visiting today friends! Hope you have a wonderful Saturday! We are waking up to -20 degrees this morning...OUCH! Stay warm out there!
