Click here for more details and your shopping code. This week Allison is our hostess and she is challenging you to create using the newest Pantone Color of the year... Radiant Orchid... but any shade of purple will do!
According to the Pantone View, "Since 2000, the Pantone Color Institute™ has been designating a Color of the Year to express in color what is taking place in the global zeitgeist. A color that will resonate around the world, the PANTONE Color of the Year is a reflection of what people are looking for, what they feel they need that color can help to answer. Not necessarily the hot fashion color of the moment, but a color crossing all areas of design which is an expression of a mood, an attitude, on the part of the consumers." Have fun using purple in your creations this week!
For my card, I decided to work with the Garden Fairies set, pairing it with Spellbinders Labels Four and Gold Labels Four Dies. The sentiment was die-cut with Spellbinders Classic Circles die set.
The card base is Classic White, and the pretty purple layer is from the Crocus Color Made Easy Collection. I embossed the background of one of the Classic White layers to give it some texture. A bit of girly tulle ribbon, some sparkly purple ribbon, and an irridescent rhinestone finish off the details. I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black, and colored her with Copic markers. I added bits of sparkle here and there with a Sakura Clear Stardust Glitter Pen.
Inside, I added a strip of card stock across the top, stamped the image in Memento Lulu Lavender, and stamped the sentiment in Memento Bahama Blue.
Take a moment and leave some lavender love on each one of the other designers' blogs this week!

This card is so precious! I love your coloring, the layers and the ribbon/lacy trims. And yet there is still a feeling of CAS to it - how did you manage that :)
