Hey everyone!
It's here! It's here! It's time to go SHOPPING for this month's brand-new My Favorite Things release! Before you shop, you'll want to gather some new product inspiration at all of the designers' blogs.
I have four cards to share with you today; so go grab a nice big cuppa jo, and settle in for a bit...
My first card showcases the new Pure Innocence Sassitude set. The card base is Grout Gray, and the layers are Steel Grey, X-Press It Blending Card, and patterned papers from Basic Grey's new Fresh Cut collection. I wrapped the card with some ivory seam binding, dressed it up with trinket pins, white crochet thread, and a Grout Gray button. I added a trio of gray enamel dots to the card for balance, and a single green one in the center of her hair bow.
I stamped the image on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, paper-pieced her outfit with patterned papers, and colored her with Copic markers. The circle die-cut she is mounted on was cut with the Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics. I stamped the sentiment in Steel Grey ink.
Inside I added a layer of Smooth White, a strip of patterned paper, and stamped the little girl in Sno Cone ink.
My second card also showcases the Pure Innocence Sassitude set, as well as the new Spring Flowers Stencil. I created the stencil pattern with Faber-Castell Gelatos. I rubbed the color on the stencil, then sponged it onto the card. I just love that subtle shimmer from the Gelatos. I lightly air-brushed the background with my YG01 Copic marker.
The card base is Smooth White, and the layers are Berrylicious, Sour Apple, and X-Press It Blending Card. The sentiment was stamped in Black Licorice and die-cut with the Sentiment Strips Die-namics.
I stamped the image on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored her with Copic markers. I die-cut the image with the Oval STAX Set 1 Die-namics, and added a couple of sequins to gussy up her outfit, and one for her hair too. :)
A few enamel dots and some white crochet thread finish off the card details.
Inside, I added a strip of Berrylicious card stock, stamped the little girl in Sour Apple, and stamped the sentiment in Steel Grey.
My next card features the fantastic Watercolor Backdrops set, as well as the Simply Fabulous Sayings set. All of the card layers are Smooth White. I embossed one of the layers with the Fishnet Cover-Up Die-namics. I just love the look of tone-on-tone embossing! I tied the layers together with white crochet string, and scattered a few enamel dots as accents.
I created the watercolor look by coloring with my Faber-Castell Gelatos directly onto the Watercolor Backdrops stamp. I then spritzed it with water, and stamped it onto Smooth White card stock. I stamped the sentiment in Black Licorice and Tangy Orange. I distressed the edges, and rounded two of the corners of my card.
Inside, I added a strip of Smooth White card stock that I swiped with the Cotton Candy and Spearmint ink pads. I stamped the sentiment in Razzle Berry and Steel Grey.
My final card today was made using the Smart Phone Die-namics, Friend Request stamp set, and Forget Me Not stamp set. Don't you just LOVE that phone die???
The card base is Kraft, and the layers are Blu Raspberry, Lemon Drop, and Smooth White. The inks are Blu Raspberry and Lemon Drop. A bit of yellow/white twine and some yummy enamel dots finish off the details.
The color combo I used on my card is this month's Color Palette Challenge. Stop by the MFT blog to play along!
Inside, I added a layer of Smooth White, strips of Blu Raspberry and Lemon Drop, and stamped the flowers in Berrylicious and Lemon Drop inks.
Thanks so much for hanging out with me for a bit, friends! Stop by the MFT Blog for your chance to win some SERIOUS MFT goodies!
~Cindy

Dad got all new meds for pain management and sleep from the GP yesterday, sees the nephrologist today; we're still on the way out, but he'll be more comfortable -- he's walking and going out and things, oh, and also a new antidepressant so he's a bit less cranky! thank you Dr. R! :)
