MFT Creative Challenge: Jazz Up Your Blooms!

Hey everyone!

It's time for the monthly Design Team Creative Challenge from My Favorite Things!  This month we were challenged to jazz up our blooms with pattern!  What a fun idea that really brings those pretty florals to a whole new level of WOW!

Here's my first card:


Isn't that polka dotted flower FUN?!  My card base is Smooth White, and that pretty die-cut background was created with the Modern Morocco Cover-Up Die-namics.  The circle layers were created with the Circle STAX 1 Die-namics, Circle STAX 2 Die-namics, and Open Scallop Doily Die-namics.  The sentiment from Cheerful Blessings was stamped in Black Licorice and Razzle Berry inks.

The flower was created with the Rose with Overlay Die-namics, Pink Lemonade and Razzle Berry card stock, Razzle Berry ink, and the Darling Dots stamp set.  The leaves were created with Sour Apple and Gumdrop Green card stock, Gumdrop Green ink, the Layered Leaves Die-namics, and the Art Expression Text stamp set.  I gave the overlays a bit of sparkle and shine with a few sprays of Sheer Shimmer Mist MIX-ables.

Inside, I added a strip of Gumdrop Green card stock, and stamped the hearts and sentiment from Cheerful Blessings in Razzle Berry ink. 

Here's a look at my second card:

This one was created with the new Blueprints 14 Die-namics.  The card base is Fctory Green, and the layers are Primitive Cream, and Safety Orange.  I stamped the On the Diagonal Background in Safety Orange ink on the background layer.  A pretty stitched grosgrain ribbon, some sponging, and a few enamel dots finish off the details.


The beautiful flower was created with the Large Hybrid Heirloom Rose Die-namics.  I stamped the Sheet Music Background on the petals in Safety Orange, and stamped the Wood Plank Background in Factory Green on the leaves,which were die-cut from the Layered Leaves Die-namics.

Inside I added a layer of Primitive Cream and a strip of Factory Green, both of which were die-cut with the new Blueprints 14 Die-namics.  I stamped the sentiment from Clearly Sentimental About Mothers in Safety Orange.
