Hey everyone~
We're down to just two days left until MFT's October release is LIVE and ready for you to shop to your heart's content!
Today I have two cards to share with you, both made using the fantastic new Perk Up stamp set and coordinating Coffee Cup Die-namics.
My first card is 4-1/4" square. The card base is Pink Lemonade, and the layers are Chocolate Brown, Kraft, and Smooth White. I just love these colors together!
I dressed up the coffee cup with the Fine Chevron Background stamped in Chocolate Brown ink. I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Brown and the sweet little coffee cup in Pink Lemonade. I then die-cut the sentiment with the Circle STAX 1 Die-namics. The Stitchable Dot Circle STAX Die-namics and a few colors of embroidery floss really dress up the card. I finished it off with rounded corners, a Pink Lemonade Button, and a trio of coordinating enamel dots.
Inside is a fun surprise! The new Gift Card Grooves Die-namics makes it oh-so-easy to tuck in a gift card. I stamped the coffee cup and sentiment in Chocolate Brown, and stamped the "steam" in Pink Lemonade.
My second card is 3-1/4" x 5-1/2". The card base is Whip Cream, and the layers are Brick Red, Olive, Hot Fudge, and Safety Orange. Those yummy, warm colors are this month's Color Palette Challenge. Check it out:
I stamped the Fine Chevron Background in Whip Cream on the Brick Red layer, stamped the Snowfall Background in Safety Orange on the tag. That awesome sentiment stamp was stamped on the coffee cup in Whip Cream ink and embossed with ivory embossing powder. I then used a white gel pen to make the check marks...couldn't just pick one. ;)
The tag was die-cut with the Traditional Tag STAX Die-namics and Stitched Traditional Tag STAX Die-namics. I finished off the tag with some green seam binding, Hemp Cord, and a Hot Fudge Button.
Here's a look at the inside:
Inside, I added a left-over strip of Brick Red card stock, stamped the sentiment in Hot Fudge, and stamped the coffee cups in Olive and Brick Red.
Be sure to swing by the MFT Blog for links to the other designers' creations, as well as for your change to win some fabulous prizes!
Have a beautiful Monday, friends!
~Cindy

The pinks and browns are definitely a hit with me...along with the coffee theme! (Although I don't drink coffee....I can't resist a good white mocha!)

I saw your second card from a distance, and it had a pineapple look to it. Now I'm curious how pineapple coffee tastes (one of my favorite fruits). I like the warm, cozy color combo of this card. Great job.
