Hello friends!
It's HERE! The February release from My Favorite Things is now available for your shopping pleasure!
Before you get your shopping fingers ready, the design team has a big blog hop full of wonderful creations made using this month's new release products. You'll definitely want to stop by all of the blogs and get those creative juices flowing!
I have three cards to share with you today. The first two are made using the newest Pure Innocence offering, called Big Bear Hugs, as well as the coordinating PI Big Bear Hugs Die-namics.
You just can't go wrong with gray, yellow, and white, can you? Such a fresh color combo! My card base is Smooth White, and the layers are Steel Grey, the yummy new Daffodil, and X-Press It Blending Card.
I stamped the Harlequin Background in Sweet Tooth pigment ink on the Steel Grey layer, which was die-cut with the Blueprints 22 Die-namics. I die-cut the Smooth White layer with the Stitched Rounded Rectangle STAX Die-namics.
I stamped the image in Black Licorice Hybrid Ink, and colored her with the following Copic markers:
Here's a look at the inside:
I die-cut strip of Daffodil, a thin strip of Steel Grey, the sentiment stamped in Steel Grey, and the image stamped in Daffodil are all that is needed to dress up the inside a bit.
My next card showcases a few additional new products, including the Stitched Rectangle Frames Die-namics, Polka Dot Background, Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX Die-namics, Blueprints 22 Die-namics, and Love Die-namics.
The card base is Grout Gray, and the layers are Cherry Crisp, the fabulous new Summer Splash, and X-Press It Blending Card.
I stamped the Polka Dot Background in Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink on the Cherry Crisp layer.
I added a Wild Cherry Button, and a bit of twine to dress it up a bit.
The image was stamped in Black Licorice Hybrid Ink, and colored with the following Copic markers:
I added polka dots to her shirt with a white Sakura Glaze Pen. The denim texture on her pants was created with a spritzer bottle of Colorless Blender and a scrap piece of denim material...fun and easy.
Here's a look at the inside:
I added layers of Summer Splash, Smooth White, and Cherry Crisp to dress the inside up. Finally, I stamped the girl in Summer Splash, and the sentiment in Cherry Crisp.
My last card showcases the new Birdie Brown Somebunny set, and coordinating Somebunny Die-namics. I also used the Blueprints 22 Die-namics (can't get enough of that!), Inside & Out Diagonal Stitched Square STAX Die-namics, Stitched Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX Die-namics, Houndstooth Background, Stitched Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics, and Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics.
The card base is Smooth White, and the layers are Steel Blue, Peach Bellini, the gorgeous new Coral Crush, Wild Wisteria, and X-Press It Blending Card.
The layout for this card is this past week's Sketch Challenge. Check it out:
There will be a brand-new sketch challenge up on Wednesday at noon EST!
I stamped the Houndstooth Background in Steel Blue ink on the Steel Blue card stock layer. I stamped "somebunny" in Steel Blue, and the rest of the sentiment in Black Licorice Hybrid Ink. I stamped the bunny in Black Licorice Hybrid Ink, and colored her with the following Copic markers:
Here's a look at the inside of the card:
I added a die-cut layer of Smooth White, a strip of Steel Blue, stamped the bunny in Coral Crush, and stamped the sentiment in Steel Blue.
That's all, folks! Be sure to swing by the MFT Blog for links to the rest of the design team creations, as well as for your chance to win some SERIOUS prizes!
Have a beautiful day!
~Cindy
