Hey again, friends!
The Bloom Brigade from Power Poppy is here today, sharing pretty daffodil projects with you all. Power Poppy has released a beautiful new digital stamp set called Dancing with Daffodils. Doesn't that sound delightful? Well, it LOOKS delightful too! It is one beautiful stamp set!
Sigh....I so thoroughly enjoyed coloring this image. We are still buried under quite a bit of snow in New Hampshire; so the thought of daffodils seems a bit like a dream right now.
My card is 5" square with a ivory card base. I used patterned papers from Crate Paper's DIY Shop 6x6 pad. I chose to keep everything in neutral tones with the exception of the beautiful image, which I wanted to really give center stage. I printed the digital image on X-Press It Blending Card, and colored it with the following Copic markers:
I wanted to give it a bit of a soft, watercolored look in the background; so I dabbled on several shades of violet and blue and then dabbled with my Colorless Blender right over the top of the blues and violets. I did the same with the brown shades for the ground cover. A few dots of opaque white gel pen on the daffodil stamens really draws your eye in.
Here's a peek at the inside:
Inside, I added a layer of black card stock, and another layer of ivory card stock that I printed the sentiment on in black. I stamped the daffodils in yellow ink behind for a soft and pretty look.
Be sure to swing by the rest of the Bloom Brigade blogs to check out their beautiful daffodil creations:

As always stellar coloring. I love that you kept all things neutral but the image. I wish I could send some snow melting sunshine but we are cold down here in NC too. Hugs.

Oooohhh.. dark and brooding I think is what this is. In a good way ;-) I like the rich darker colors and the dp is awesome. Very dynamic Cindy.
