Hello friends!
I hope my American friends had a wonderful 4th of July yesterday! Our weekend has been full of baseball, fireworks, family, good food, antiquing, and a race. So far, so wonderful! Yesterday, I completed my first ever (as an adult) running race. I took up running a couple of months ago (I know, right?!), and have been absolutely BITTEN by the running bug. It is true what they say about happy running endorphins. I LOVE it!
Here's a shot my sweet son took of me as I crossed the finish line. I think my face says it all! I DID IT! WOOT!!!
You're never too old to try something new! :)
On to my card...
Today's card is made with a special digital release from Power Poppy, called Asters Abuzz.
Asters Abuzz, inspired by some of honeybees’ favorite wildflowers in the midwest, has Asters, Clover, and flowering Thyme. This set includes TWO sentiments to provide a variety of card-making possibilities!
Aren't those blooms and bees just fantastic?!
I decided to color mine up in cool shades of blues and purples with an air-brushed and dotted background.
Here's a look at the Copic colors I used:
So many pretty shades there! Doesn't it make you happy just looking at them? :)
Here's a peek at the inside:
I kept it very simple, keeping that wonderful sentiment the highlight. That Victor Hugo was a smart man, wasn't he? LOVE that sentiment!
Before you go, be sure to check out the rest of the Bloom Brigade blogs to see their fabulous creations with Asters Abuzz.
Cindy Lawrence ---You are here!
