Hello friends!
It's an exciting day at Power Poppy! A brand-new digital stamp set is being unveiled for your instant gratification! This one may be my all-time favorite...ever! It's called Tulips in Hobnail Pitcher. It contains a stunning image of a pitcher full of freshly gathered tulips that captures laid-back country living. Two perfect birthday sentiments round out this set that is just begging to be colored up this spring.
I chose to make my card a 5" square, which worked really well with the image sized at 100%. The pretty patterned papers are from two different My Mind's Eye paper packs: woodgrain from Bramble Rose and polka dots from Tangerine.
Here's a close-up of the image:
Isn't the detail in that image just incredible?! I chose to color my tulips up in a stripey fashion...and now I want to buy some of those striped tulips to plant in my garden!
I have to tell you a little secret... I got a bit distracted as I was finishing color my image, as in I forgot to finish coloring my image. My final step would have been to add depth to my leaves by coloring some gray tones in the areas that are "behind". This, in turn, makes the leaves in front "pop", and gives the whole image added dimension. Oh well, now you know what "could have been". I promise to finish it before I mail it off to anyone. ;)
I printed the image onto X-Press It Blending Card, and colored it with the following Copic colors:
Here's a look at the inside of the card:
I very simply printed the birthday sentiment, and highlighted the words with different coordinating Copic markers. Easy peasy.
Next up, you'll want to swing by the rest of the Bloom Brigade blogs, as well as a number of the Instant Gardner blogs, to see their fabulous creations today!

Cindy, this is gorgeous, and I saw some of the striped tulips myself and love them! Your tulips are stunning with the colors you've used, and what a fabulous layout with these two pieces of DP! They really add to the country feel of this card! And the bow with the button and twine are perfect! Stunning card, and I love the inside too! Hugs, sweet friend, and have a blessed Easter/Resurrection Day!
