Let Them Eat Cake!

Good morning, friends!

I'm back with a summery fresh card made using Power Poppy's Tea in the Garden stamp set.  This set seriously makes me want to have tea in the garden!  Sigh...sounds so lovely, right?!  I go through lots of thank you cards; so that's what I chose to create today.

This image of a scrumptious cake on a sweet stand is probably my favorite image in the set.  (Wait a minute, that might change tomorrow! haha)  Can't you just taste the goodness?!  Okay, now I'm hungry...

I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It Blending Card, and colored it with the following Copic Markers.

Yup, I used quite a few markers on this one...lots of little details to color! :)

The pretty floral paper is from the This & That collection from Echo Park.

Here's a look at the inside of the card:


A couple of simply stamped yummies and a thin strip of patterned paper dress the inside up just enough to make it special.

Cindy, this is seriously scrumptious, and when does tea start? I love this cake and how you've colored it - love that cake plate. And, wow, what a great layout with the sweet DP, border die, along with the twine and button! Couldn't be more charming and ready for tea. And I really love how you've finished off the inside too!
