Sweet Simple Things

Hello friends!

Today, I'm sharing a simple card made with Power Poppy's newest digital stamp set, Sweet Simple Things.  I just adore that old-fashioned bee skep and the beautiful blooms and honeybees surrounding it.  It just says SUMMER, don't you think?  

I chose a fresh color palette for my card, using the Vintage Bliss patterned paper pack from Simple Stories and lots of white cardstock.

I printed the image in black ink on X-Press It Blending Card, and colored it with the following Copic colors.


I also printed the "you're so sweet" sentiment in black and die-cut it with a banner die.  I used the Laura Ingalls Wilder sentiment on the inside of my card.  Boy, that is a true statement, isn't it?!  We sometimes get so caught up in the craziness of life & planning for the big things, that we forget that the simple things are where it's really at!

Cindy, I love your card with the summery colors, and what beautiful DP with lots of white...really love that and this sweet bee skep so beautifully colored! I really love the colors on this one! As usual amazing coloring! That minty blue (at least on my MacBook) looks soon cool when it is so hot here!

Oh is this a Prety Card... But then I have a thing for Bees. Love how you colored this up, and made the flowers look so Fresh. and all the layers... with the Lovely inside too!
