It's been two full weeks since I posted anything here! Gosh, time flies, doesn't it?! I was away at my annual Copic team meeting in Oregon for one of those weeks. We got a ton of work done and enjoyed a bit of sightseeing as well. Of course, the best part is the people I work with. Such a blessing to work with people you love.
Here's a quick peek into our week:
It was just a beautiful setting, and the weather was absolute perfection too.
Anyway...back to my card. :)
I used Power Poppy's brand new digital stamp set called Get Wool Soon. This gentle vignette of warm woolen yarns and a cup of coziness is just the thing to color and share with a friend. Three sentiments, both with and without puns, accompany this digital download. It's the perfect set to cozy up & color this winter.
The patterned papers I used are from Crate Paper's DIY Shop collection and Carta Bella's Warm & Cozy collection. I added a fun chevron die-cut to the background, allowing the patterned paper to peek through the design. I die-cut the focal image layer with a stitched banner die. A bit of yellow striped twine and a yellow button finish off the details.
I printed the image in black ink on X-Press It Blending Card, and colored it with the following Copic Markers.
Here's a peek at the inside of the card:
As is my usual modus operandi, I added a strip of patterned paper across the top...such an easy way to dress up the inside of your card. I printed the fabulous sentiment in black ink, and added a few Copic colors to give the words a bit more life.
Before you go, be sure to swing by the rest of the Bloom Brigade blogs to see their fabulous creations.

Oh your card is so warm and cozy, perfect colors! Dang! I wish I could knit....took me 4 years to make a scarf--true story! Sigh. Oh well at least there is a beautiful yarn image now! :) Looks like a fun week!

I love this card. I'd like to have a hat and scarf made from the colors that you used to color the yarn.

Beautiful image and coloring. Of course you're awesome at this and I have learned looking at your site on color options and shading. Looked like a fun filled time. I love Oregon and living in SW Washington we get down there quite often.

Cindy, I have been a fan of your work for sometime, and i figured that I should step out of the wood work and make a comment. The coloring that you do brings the images to life and they are amazing. I love working with copics and water coloring, but have a way to go. I am inspired by you and this card.

Oh, Cindy, I love this gorgeous card...inside and outside! What beautiful coloring and a fabulous layout with the DP, and the twine and button finish it off beautifully! And oh, what fun to get to play with the gals as you are preparing for the landscape coloring...in the beautiful setting! What fun to have been able to play and enjoy the beauty of God's creation. Thanks for sharing it and for allowing it to be large to see the beautiful lighthouse...how charming! Hugs, sweet friend! xoxo
