Hello, beautiful crafty people!
I'm heading to New Jersey today to spend a couple of days doing one of my very favorite things on earth, teaching Copic classes. This weekend I'll be teaching the Standard & Intermediate Certifications, as well as the Coloring Flowers Workshop. I always, always have a blast teaching, and the students seem to have fun and learn lots too! If you get a chance to attend a Copic class in 2017, I do hope you will jump on it! Check them out HERE.
My card today was created by hand-drawing the tree image using Copic Multiliners, Copic Markers, and Kirarina Wink Pens. The sentiment is from Power Poppy's Peony Muse stamp set.
To draw the tree, I began with the 4pc Copic Multiliner Fine Set of pens, outlining the tree with the 0.1 Multiliner & filling in the branches with the 0.3 Multiliner. I then filled in the wide part of the tree with the Small Brush Multiliner.
Wouldn't it have been nifty if I'd have taken pictures of my progress as I drew the tree? Yeah, I thought of that....after I was finished. I was chatting away with my son, who was visiting, and before you know it, I was finished.
The cherry blossoms were created by simply dabbing on dots of a few Copic Markers, as well as the White Pearl & Pastel Pink Kirarina Wink pens.
Here's a peek at the inside of the card:
The only embellishment I put on the inside of this card is a slim sliver of the tree from the front of the card. I made this one for a sweet friend, and I have lots I want to say inside; so I left plenty of room for blabbing. :) I do like adding just a little something to the inside of my cards. I would normally just throw out that strip of paper from the front image. This is a much better use of it...don't you think?
Thanks so much for visiting with me today, friends! Have an amazing day!
~Cindy
Just beautiful Cindy. Whenever I have a strip left over from the front image I do the same thing. Why waste the beautiful piece left over when it is the perfect accent for inside!
A lovely card!

This card is beautiful. I love the richness of the tree trunk and the contrast of the blooms. Beautiful. I love trees.
