Hello crafty friends!
It's an exciting day around here! The Power Poppy Bloom Brigade and My Sweet Petunia have joined forces to bring you a great BIG blog hop AND give away. So, grab a cup (or two) of your favorite beverage, and come along for a sweet ride!
My project for today's hop was created with Power Poppy's Loving Tulips stamp set. I thought it would be fun to put the focus on that fabulous "hello" sentiment. So, I used my Mini MISTI to perfectly line up the stamps. The MISTI comes in multiple sizes. The original MISTI is 8 x 10. The Memory MISTI is 13.75 x 14, and is perfect for scrapbooking. The Mini MISTI is 6 x 7, making it just right for card making. I use mine on every card; so it has a place of honor on my desk, right next to my Copic Markers. (Yeah, it's that important!)
There's another new tool from My Sweet Petunia that you are going to just HAVE to have! It's their Creative Corners, which have so many great uses! I used them in the photo above to hold my cardstock neatly in place, while I stamped each sentiment. These tools honestly make stamping perfectly straight, even images absolutely foolproof!
One of my favorite features about the MISTI is that I can ink up my stamp multiple times to get a clean, crisp image. If it doesn't come out great the first time, or you miss a spot, you can easily ink it up again and re-stamp. Since your stamp is already attached to the MISTI, it lines up perfectly every. single. time. Such a beautiful thing!
My card stock for this card is all white, and the patterned paper is from Teresa Collins Carolina Breeze collection. I love the way the dotted pattern on the paper mimics the dotted pattern of the letters. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Cantaloupe, Memento Gray Flannel, and Memento Tuxedo Black. I stamped the tulip image onto X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored it with the following Copic Markers.
Finally, here's a peek at the inside of the card, which I always like to dress up just a bit.
Now, every time I post a photo of both the front AND inside of a card, I get people telling me how lovely "both cards" are. EVERY. TIME. It cracks me up, because clearly they aren't here for the words on the page...just the pretty pictures. AND that's okay...keeps me entertained!
Before we get to that big ol' hop list, did you hear about the fabulous prize Power Poppy is offering?
That's right! All you need to do is leave a comment on every blog on the hop list, and you're entered to win one of TWO $25 gift certificates! Pretty sweet, eh? So, what are you waiting for??? Get hoppin'!
MISTI winners will be announced HERE on the My Sweet Petunia blog on April 14th...one week from today!
Thanks so very much for stopping by to visit today! Enjoy the rest of the hop, and have a fabulous day!
~Cindy
Fabulous creations! Love seeing how you use these tools, too! I'm hopping along and so far, have found two links that appear to go nowhere...the Poppy Power link and Jeanne Streif's link. I'll keep trying!
Thank you for the inspiration you deliver to my mailbox!

Love your card, and the way you finish off the inside of the card just takes it to another level. If I received this card I would feel so thrilled because when you open it is as if you have received two cards, and both as lovely as each other.
I love seeing the way that the new Misti corners work.
Thank you for sharing your creativity with the rest of us.

You have a good sense of humour! I'm a detail girl... I like to know how a card is made and even why... what sparked the creativity... consequently I love reading blogs! Keep doing what you're doing coz I love reading about it!! I really DO love the inside of your cards though because they ARE just as pretty as the front!

Such a beautiful card, and love that fun dotted "Hello" sentiment. I know what you mean about the comment of your "cards". I get that on my blog too. Even when I put in the title of the blog post that it's a tag, box, or something else. They call it a card. Ha! I think stamping inside is such a sweet detail, I should do it more. I enjoyed seeing your how to with the Misti. I don't own one yet, so would love to win one.

Wonderful card! Have the Misti but the Mini is on my wish list and those corners are a must have. Really love the trouble you take to make the inside as lovely as the front. Try to unless I am in a big hurry ( most of the time) , trying to beat the mailman. Thanks for sharing!

I don't always read through all of the
explanation (sorry - I know you put a lot
of time in writing it). I can usually
get an idea of how the project was
done. If I need more information
then I'll read through the whole
thing. Your card is great - the
dots in the swag on the strip and
in the lettering does work well
together. The inside of the
card is wonderful too. I seldom
think to do anything with the
inside.
thanks for sharing.

I love the inside as much as the outside... and yes, I am one of those who reads. LOL but I know so many don't!!! Makes you wonder why you bother typing anything, right? But then you'd get a million questions... or a million people ask the same question... even though you answered the first 10 people with the same answer. You just have to laugh about it!!! Seriously great card... love the tulips!
