Hello & a very happy Friday to you, my crafty peeps!
I will be more regular with my posts soon. I have been quite a slacker these last few months! Okay, not in REAL life, but definitely in blog land. I miss it, and all of you! Our home reno is going well. Little by little, things are starting too look like a home again, a new & updated home. I won't be sad when the last of the paint is put on the walls, though. I am kinda-maybe-just a teensy bit OVER PAINTING. Haha! #sooverit I am truly very thankful for the opportunity we have to update our home.
That card up there was created using Power Poppy's fabulous Dahlia XL clear stamp set. It is such a stunning flower, and so much fun to see the different ways we can add it to a card. For this card, I chose to keep it very simple, and only stamp part of it in the corner.
Here are the Copic Markers I used to color the image:
The paper I used to stamp my image on is the oh-so-amazing X-Press It Blending Card. If you do not color on this paper with your Copic Markers, well....you simply MUST get some to try! It is a game changer. It is, in my humble opinion, (and I've tried many different papers with my Copic Markers), the very BEST paper for coloring with alcohol ink markers. It is the perfect mix of blendability and fiber density. It is not so soft that the colors easily feather outside the lines, and it is not so hard that the colors don't blend well. It's like the story of Goldilocks & the Three Bears. The baby bear had it going on, as does the X-Press It Blending Card. It is JUST RIGHT. Please DO try it, and then come back and tell me how right I was! :)
You can get the X-Press It Blending Card in a 25 sheet pack or a 125 sheet pack. Trust me, you'll want to just get the 125 sheet pack! There's nothing like running out of your favorite Copic coloring paper mid-project. (Ask me how I know!) This paper is a bright white, 92-pound cover weight...perfect for card making. It's also acid free, laser and inkjet compatible, and smooooooth as a baby's bottom. It is seriously the silkiest, smoothest paper on the planet! Can you tell I'm in love? Well, my friends, you will be too once you try it!
I did not take a photo of the inside of my card because, honestly, I didn't get a chance to dress it up. I promise, I will before I mail it though. ;)
Be sure to swing by the rest of the Bloom Brigade blogs to see their fabulous Power Poppy creations.

Oh, Cindy, what fabulous colors you've used and a gorgeous card. I just LOVE the large flower in the corner with your sentiment and enamel dots. Really sharp with the black mat. And I am with you...once you use the X-Press It Blending Card, you will rarely (if ever) go back. Haha! It's sort of like when my mom encouraged me to use linen when I was doing cross-stitch. She said that once you try it and get used to it, you will never go back. She was exactly right! There is just nothing like it, and I also think it really helps save your nibs too. Hugs!
