Power Poppy Hop: Marcy's Tying the Knot!

Hello & a very happy Friday to all of you fabulous creative people!

Today is a very special day in the land of Power Poppy.  Both the Bloom Brigade & Instant Gardeners are honoring our dear Marcy, as she is about to be married (TOMORROW!!!) to her sweetheart Doug, who just so happens to be equally as awesome as Marcy.  Seriously, if there was ever a couple that was meant to be together, it is THESE two!  I got to witness the sweet, kind, supportive, & loving nature of their relationship in person this summer, and my family can vouch for me that I came home inspired to be a better person because of those two lovebirds. #truestory

***A Note to Marcy:

My dear, sweet friend,  I adored you long before I met you.  Your bubbly, joy-filled, and loving nature have always shined through...in great times & in difficult ones too.  You are a true example to us all of what it means to live life to the fullest and do it with an unmatched grace & genuine care for others.  Having had the privilege of spending time with you & your amazing family in your home & town, sealed the deal.  You, my friend, are the real McCoy...and so is your dear Doug.  I could not be happier for you both, as you commit your lives to each other & grow in the beauty that is true, undying love.  I pray for many years of joy ahead of you both.  Love you to the moon, and I am so very grateful for the day our paths crossed in this universe.  Have an AMAZING day, girl!  You're getting married!!! 


My card was created with Power Poppy's gorgeous Dream Wedding stamp set. It is hands-down my favorite wedding set of ALL time.  You simply MUST have it.  

I chose soft shades of green, my favorite neutral gray/beige (aka: greige), white, and just a touch of yellow.  I chose an embossing folder of swirling vines, and sponged on a bit of pale aqua ink.  A flurry of tiny pearls in shades of green complement the design without overwhelming it.  The cake was popped up with foam mounting squares, as was the sweet tussy mussy anchoring the sentiment.  The final detail on the front of the card is a softly scrunched bow of pale green seam binding with a duo of pearl leaf stick pins peeking out from the center.

I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It Blending Card, and colored them with the following Copic Markers.


Inside the card I added a strip of embossed mint green cardstock at the top, which was sponged with a pale aqua blue ink.  The shoes were stamped with the "I do" sentiment, fussy cut, and adhered in the bottom corner for a sweet surprise when the card is opened.
