Hello Stampers~
I have a quick post for you today. I made this card for a class last month; so the coloring on it is quite minimal for me. :-) I used Spellbinders Curved Rectangle Nestabilities Die for the card base.
The beautiful country scene is from the A Day in the Country stamp set from JustRite Stampers. That set is so right up my alley!
To make the background, I swiped on three different dye ink pads... black, white, and rust. I thought it added a neat, aged effect...almost like wood grain.
That's all from me today, folks! I know...I have tons of pictures to share with you, and I will. I promise! Just give me a little more time. I've been involved in a huge kitchen redecorating project for the last three days...so exhausting, but so worth it!

Hello Stampers~
Today I thought I'd share the cards I made for a CAS class I recently taught. In case you don't already know, "CAS" stands for Clean & Simple.
This first one came from a cool idea I saw on Andrea Walford's blog...love that patterned paper bloom! The only stamping on my card is from JustRite Stampers.
This next one has a bit of a shabby chic feel to it, but is still very simple. I used Our Craft Lounge's Fabulous Florals & the Say It With Florals sentiment set.
You've seen the next one before (in my last post), with a little more "stuff" on it, and in a larger size. I simply toned it down a bit for the class. I used the Sweet Days of Summer stamp set for this one.
The final card is a 4-1/4" square card using Flourishes Country Charm Labels set, and a combination of papers from Penny Lane & Basic Grey.
That's all, friends! We are off to the North Carolina Zoo to donate a kid or two. LOL

How are you on this fine Monday? I am doing terrific! It is my daughter's first "official" day of summer vacation; so we are going to have a girls day together. My son has one more week of school, and then we'll be in full summer mode in our house. I just love summer, don't you? :)
Today, the Stampers Dream Team and friends have gotten together for another fun blog hop. I can't wait to see everyone's fabulous creations!
For my card, I chose one of JustRite's newest Christmas sets, Merry and Bright. This one's a cling set that coordinates perfectly with Spellbinders 2010 Ornaments Dies. The card layout is one I turn to time and time again...just love it! The card size is 5-1/2" x 3-1/4". I also happen to really love the clean and simple look of white-on-white. The only other color paper I added is a strip of pretty plaid from Crate Paper's Toy Box Pad. I colored the ornament in using Copic markers, and added some pretty sparkle with Sakura's Clear Stardust Gelly Roll Glitter Pen.

The picture really doesn't do the sparkle justice! I added some pretty Gold Metallic String, Red Rhinestones, and a Martha Stewart punched border to finish things off. The background was done with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

One of my very favorite flowers is the daisy...sweet, simple, and oh-so-pretty. I just can't help but smile when I see them. They really are a happy flower, don't you think?
When I saw the daisy image in the darling Sending You Sunshine stamp set from JustRite Stampers, I knew it would be the first stamp to get inky. I colored it with Copic markers, and paired it up with some Springtime patterned papers from Echo Park. I framed the image with Spellbinders awesome Fancy Tags Three die, and added lots of pretty pearls and ribbons.

Soft and sweet...and ready to send off to someone in need of a little cheer.

Hello Stampers~
I have a sweet little set of notecards to share with you today. I seem to have a bit of a thing for notecards lately. :) I had every intention of sharing it with you this morning; but I just plum ran out of time.
These cards are all 4-1/4" square, and are made with Just Rite's fabulous Friendship Blooms cling mount stamp set. The pretty patterned papers are from the Picket Fence collection from Lilybee Designs.
I just love how the images in this set coordinate with several Spellbinders dies! I used the Labels Eighteen & Classic Circle dies for my cards. I was tempted to add some sponging, colored cardstock, a big bow....but in the end I decided that I really liked the freshness and vibrancy of all that white. When I do give this set away, I will include a set of my hand-made square envies to match, like the ones I did in my last post. I will do a tutorial for you guys...promise!

Today is a very special day in my life... It's my hubby's and my 16th wedding anniversary. I love that man more today than every day before... He is truly one in a million.
Yes, I really made that fru-fru card up there for him! I wanted something romantic, with a bit of vintage flare. I know it's rather feminine in design, but so are weddings, right? I think this is the one occasion when I can get away with fru fru for the hubs. ;)
I used JustRite Stampers Friendship Blooms for the pretty frame stamps, and Romantic Sentiments for the saying (which I love so very much). Those gorgeous papers are from Crate Paper's Portrait pack. I added lots of special details, like the rose organza trim, cream satin pleat edging and pom pom trim border, gold mini rhinestones on the patterned paper, narrow ivory satin ribbon with a couple of gold pearl stick pins, a Martha Stewart border punch, several Nestabilities dies, some faux stitching with my White Opaque Pen, and finally dimensionals to pop up those layers. Phew....that's a lotta embellies!

As you can see, I sponged all of the ivory cardstock layers with a Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink Pad to add to the vintage appeal. The final touch is a spritz or two of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels. I know you can't really see it in the photo; but it adds such a pretty shimmer to the card.
The card itself is 5-1/4" square. The layout is this week's Mojo Monday sketch.

For my card, I used the Vintage Oval Labels cling set. I just love the ornate elegance of the images in this set, and the way they coordinate so beautifully with Spellbinders dies. I embossed my image using black embossing powder and colored it in with Copic markers. That richly colored patterned paper is from Echo Park's For the Record collection.

I sponged on a little Tim Holtz Pumice Stone Distress ink, and added White Opaque Pen accents to the flowers. The card size is 5-1/4" square.
